As the creator of the Yamaha Golf Car Skid Plate, founder Keith Bachman recognized a significant design vulnerability in the Yamaha lineup. Between 2015 and today, many Yamaha gas and electric models were equipped with the Schafer solid transaxle—a component that sits remarkably low to the ground.
